Over Viechtach, Wiesing to Arnbruck you reach the lookout point Eck. From there have you a marvellous view across the Zellertal. After a very winding road to Arrach, Engelshütt and Rittsteig you reach the border. Most border officials welcome bikers with a friendly smile. After a short drive you’ve already reached Nyrsko, a small place which is well worth exploring. In Nýrsko you must turn-off towards Zelesná Ruda, reaching the lake Uhlava after a few kilometres. A rest at this peaceful place is more than recommendable. The somewhat uneven roads, lovably integrated into the landscape, are however not to be compared with the roads in Germany. Arriving at Zelesná Ruda you can purchase some souvenirs in the shops. Refuelling here is very, very worth while, so take the opportunity. The return trip across the border at Bayerisch Eisenstein, then Brennes to the Gr. Arber, certainly account to the ultimate motorcycle route. Have a break at the Arbersee, taking a small boat trip or a walk to loosen the muscles. Returning back over Bodenmais, Böbrach, Teisnach and Geiersthal you’ll really notice that you enjoyed a successful day. |
